One Day Leadership Symposium

There is no one formula to becoming an effective antiracist leader and advocate. Understanding your organizational context and culture will better position you to identify opportunities for change, structures and processes that create barriers to change and to garner institutional support to sustain progress. This training series will introduce participants to the organizational components required to lead authentically, and to develop a plan to clarify and foster an equitable and inclusive workplace.

Leading Authentically

Participants will have the opportunity to examine their management goals through an anti-racist, equity and inclusion lens and learn strategies to develop and sustain a truly supportive, engaging, and inclusive work environment. Key topics will include core concepts, and tools that are necessary to advance DEI principles in your organizations, understanding your leadership style and biases, and diversity leadership and strategic focus. At the end of the seminar, participants you give a final presentation describing how you will apply your work to your organization
